Watchlight Interactive operates PlayCompass, a mobile application for parents seeking personalized activities with children. This policy explains our data collection and protection practices.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address
• Display name
• Profile photo (via Google Sign-In, if provided)
• Authentication method (Google or anonymous)

Child Profile Information

The app collects: first name or nickname, age, interests (selected from predefined categories such as sports, arts, music, science, etc.), and avatar selection. We do not collect child photographs, precise location, contact details, or health information.

Activity & Usage Data

We collect preferences regarding liked/skipped activities, activity history, duration preferences, location types, and preferred categories.

Device & Technical Information

We collect app version, platform details, session data, and error logs.

Location Data (Optional)

With your permission, the app accesses your location for weather-based suggestions only. Location data is not retained after the request is fulfilled.

2. How We Use Your Information

PlayCompass uses collected data to deliver personalized activity recommendations, maintain your preferences, process subscriptions, send notifications, enhance stability, and enable family sharing.

• OpenWeatherMap — Weather-based recommendations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties and we do not use advertising SDKs.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account data is stored in Firebase Firestore. All communications are secured with HTTPS/TLS encryption.

5. Data Retention

Activity history duration depends on your subscription tier. Account data persists until deletion. Analytics data is retained for a maximum of 90 days.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You may access, update, or delete your account through app settings. You can opt out of location sharing and disable notifications at any time. To request data deletion, contact us at support@watchlightinteractive.com.

7. Children's Privacy

PlayCompass restricts child data collection to essentials, does not allow children to create accounts directly, avoids advertising SDKs, and gives parents full control over child profiles.

8. Family Sharing

Invited family members can access shared profiles through invite codes. Access is parental-controlled and revocable at any time.

9. Changes to This Policy

Changes are communicated via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
